Although International Development Studies at Chulalongkorn University is quite new, the programme would like to closely keep in touch with its former students. As time passes, a network of MAIDS alumni will become a valuable resource for incoming and former students of the programme. If you are a former student and would like to get in touch with other MAIDS alumni, please do not hesitate to contact the programme's main office. “We have a wide range of country representatives, from the most socialist to the most capitalist, from the most oppressive to those with the greatest freedom….It shows that, although intentional development is a lengthy process, there is nonetheless a thirst for ethical leadership, vision, creativity and cooperation." 2005 MAIDS Alumni Ann Tzu-Ching Kao (Taiwan) comments on the diversity of MAIDS student body “I noticed that some of my colleagues and I were lacking the professional skills needed to improve our work and develop new projects. I wanted to get a better grasp of development policy, and project design sustainability, implementation and evaluation.” 2004 MAIDS Alumni (China) describes why she decided to pursue graduate studies at MAIDS "In a way, my internship is the destination of all the threads and themes that have guided my journey thus far, of which the MAIDS program has played an influential role. This end destination reconfirms that it is good to stray off the beaten path and to be an inventor of experiences where new paths can emerge. In the end, the process is as much about your own development as it is about others" 2005 MAIDS Alumni Jill Lawler (USA) reflects on her experience leading up to her post-MAIDS internship at the UNDP in Bangkok.
