Financial Aid

Unforunately, the Faculty of Political Science and the M.A. in International Development Studies cannot offer financial assistance to students. The programme encourages and supports applicants and students to look for external sources of funding. The programme will provide the necessary documentation to students applying for scholarships or other forms of financial aid. Online databases such as absolutelyscholarships.com and fastweb.com are good places to start your search.

Funding and Scholarships for Southeast Asian Applicants

The MAIDS programme works with a number of organizations which offer scholarships to MAIDS students.

The ASEAN Foundation will provide funding to one student of Thai nationality during the 2010-2011 academic year. Follow this link for more information: ASEAN Foundation Scholarship

The SCG Foundation is offering six scholarships to individuals from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Interested students from Myanmar should visit the website of the Heinrich Boll Foundation, which has funded MAIDS students from that country in the past. Another good resource for students from Myanmar seeking funding sources is the Thabyay Education Network.
