On May 19th - 20th 2011, Thammasat University will host the First International Conference on International Relations and Development. The overarching theme of this conference will be Governance, Human Rights & Development: Challenges for Southeast Asia and Beyond. ICIRD is currently seeking abstract submissions and will be open to receive them until October 30th.

The Siam Cement Foundation has recently agreed to support 8 full scholarships for individuals from 6 Southeast Asian countries to study at the MAIDS programme for the upcoming 2007-2008 academic year.

To be fair, the MAIDS programme has extended its May 31st deadline to July 13th, 2007 for ALL PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS. This extended deadline will allow the programme more time to advertise and recruit qualified scholarship awardees from the region.
